Amaazia Theme Park For Surat India?
Posted by on March 17, 2013
Every year we hear of planned theme parks that never come to fruition due to financial, environmental or a multitude of other issues. Dubailand anyone? With the amusement park trade in India increasing there have been a load of new planned parks in the last few months. Today I’m going to highlight one that has come to my attention in Surat.
Amaazia has the whole range of advertising going for it. It has a fancy website, a couple of high profile backers and even a promotional video Dubailand would be proud of.
So far so good. But it’s when we start to look at the parks website things get a bit unbelievable. The park has a total size of only 15 acres. yet the website lists 9 roller coasters. To put this into perspective, Blackpool Pleasure Beach is often considered to be fairly densely packed, BPB has 10 Roller Coasters crammed into 42 acres of space. The fact Amaazia lists 9 is not only unbelievable its pretty much impossible.
The website currently lists among others a launched coaster, a Zac Spin, a suspended coaster, a half-pipe and a thrill coaster. The fact that they also want to squeeze a water park and snow park into the same site further sends this into the realms of the ludicrous. The website actually says they have started construction of the park, Only time will tell what they actually build there.
Interestingly the proposed park map only shows one coaster and it looks like a wild mouse. So all in all this park sounds good to start with but quickly descends into madness. There are a couple of concept shots below but click the official link under sources for much much more.

Adlabs Imagica Coasters Get Names.
Posted by on March 15, 2013
Adlabs Imagica has been a mysterious park. With the park almost complete very little is known about any of the rides, However three of the coasters have been unveiled (at least name wise) and are detailed below. First up the Zamperla mine train, Followed by the Zamperla Junior and then the Premier LSM.

Explore the Wild Wild West on a family roller coaster!
This exciting coaster will take you through the world of old American West. From the ravines and the ranch grounds of the cowboys to the parlours and the saloons of the pistol wielding outlaws and sheriffs.
This ripping ride will drop you from the height of 66 feet and send you speeding through tunnels and abandoned gold mines at a thrilling speed of 65 km/h.
Apparently, this journey is not going to be an easy one. After all, surviving the Wild Wild West was always a rollercoaster ride!
Speed through the Sherwood Forest in this junior roller coaster!
Hey kids! All aboard this junior roller coaster! It will take you through the world of Robin Hood and his Merry Men.
So, get into your bandit mode and gear up for a fun ride!
To the moon and back in India’s first dark roller coaster ride!
Hop on to this high adrenaline rollercoaster that takes you into outer space. You will get launched into deep space among galaxies and black holes zipping through various planets and meteors.
This coaster is uniquely constructed inside a massive dome, which itself is a sight from miles away.
The Deep Space coaster works on the Linear Synchronous Motor (LSM) magnetic launch. Unlike a normal roller coaster, which makes a slow first climb, this dark coaster will shoot you to crazy speeds in a matter of mere seconds.
So, gear up for this truly out- of- this- world experience!
Interestingly there is no mention of the parks B&M Floorless but a park map does show a fourth coaster called Nitro in the Americana section. Perhaps it won’t open with the park or maybe it will be unveiled at a later date. Only Time will tell.

Rumour: Happy Valley Beijing to build wooden coaster.
Posted by on September 20, 2011
Various Chinese sites have posted an article which suggests the Happy Valley park situated in Beijing is looking to expand with a large indoor section, a 5 star hotel and a large wooden roller coaster.
I have summarized the main points of the article below.
“Park Future: There will be one billion yuan investment to build the indoor amusement park in order to help Beijing Happy Valley out during the “winter”, The plan would involve the building of a large indoor amusement park with the option to open up a 50,000 square meter second phase.
It is understood that the planned opening of the indoor amusement park is towards the end of 2013 and the superstructure could include an automatic roof which could be open for ventilation in the summer and closed during the colder winter months.
In addition to this plans indicate the construction of a large wooden roller coaster in the Shangri-LaValley area of the park and the addition of a 5 star hotel and facilities. “
